Introduction

ObsoleteCoin ($OBSO) is not just another meme coin — it’s a digital resurrection. We take currencies that the world has forgotten and bring them back as collectible community-driven tokens on Solana. Our mission is simple: fuse nostalgia with modern DeFi. Every “dead” currency is reimagined as a sub-token under the ObsoleteCoin ecosystem, launched only when the community votes for it. This way, each resurrection is an event, not just another quiet token launch.

Terminology

The ObsoleteCoin Ecosystem introduces a few key terms to help you navigate the project.
$OBSO is the main governance token of the network, used for staking, voting, and participating in ecosystem decisions.
Sub-tokens are revived/ressurected historical currencies, brought back as digital assets within the ecosystem, each verified and stored in a Solana Program Derived Address (PDA) for authenticity.
Staking refers to locking your $OBSO tokens to earn voting rights and influence which sub-token will be resurrected next.
Quadratic Voting is the method used to calculate voting power, ensuring fairness by reducing the dominance of large holders.
The term Resurrection Cycle describes the repeating process where the community votes, a new sub-token is revived, and the ecosystem continues to expand. Together, these terms define how ObsoleteCoin functions as a transparent, community-driven experiment in digital history and governance.

Ecosystem

$OBSO – The Core Governance Token:
$OBSO is the central token of the ObsoleteCoin ecosystem. It grants holders governance rights, meaning every $OBSO owner can actively participate in shaping the future of the project. Through their voting power, holders decide which “dead” coins are selected for resurrection as sub-tokens, influencing the evolution of the entire ecosystem.

Powered by Solana:
The ObsoleteCoin ecosystem is built on the Solana blockchain, taking advantage of its high-speed transactions, low fees, and robust decentralization. Both $OBSO and all revived sub-tokens are fully tradable against SOL, making it easy for holders to buy, sell, and trade within a secure and scalable environment.

Voting & Influence:
$OBSO holders play a key role in governance by voting on resurrection events. Each vote contributes to the ecosystem’s direction, ensuring that decisions reflect the community’s collective vision. Voting power is designed to be fair, preventing large holders from disproportionately dominating outcomes while encouraging meaningful participation from the entire community.

Revived Sub-Tokens:
Every coin that is resurrected through community voting becomes a sub-token within the $OBSO ecosystem. These sub-tokens are tracked securely using Solana Program Derived Addresses (PDAs), providing verifiable authenticity and ensuring that each revived coin maintains its historical identity within the digital ecosystem. This system creates a dynamic, evolving network of collectibles governed by the community.

Audit

At this stage of development, the ObsoleteCoin project leverages AI-assisted audits using online available tools to identify risks, improve smart contract logic, and strengthen documentation.
These AI audits provide valuable insights during the early growth phase, helping us ensure a reasonable level of security and transparency without incurring heavy costs.
As the project matures and gains meaningful adoption, liquidity, and community traction, we plan to engage a professional third-party blockchain audit firm to conduct a finalized, comprehensive audit. This phased approach allows us to balance innovation with security while scaling responsibly.

Vault Pool

The Vault Pool is a curated collection of 40 historical coins at this stage, serving as the foundation for ObsoleteCoin’s resurrection process. As the project grows, the pool can be expanded or updated through open community voting, allowing holders to influence which coins are considered for revival. Users can stake their $OBSO tokens within the Vault Pool and cast votes to determine the next coin to be resurrected as a sub-token. This dynamic, community-driven system ensures that the evolution of the ecosystem remains transparent, participatory, and guided by the preferences of $OBSO holders.

Vault History

The Vault History provides an overview of the coins in the vault, showing the approximate period when each coin was last in circulation and the estimated population of the respective region at that time. This historical context helps the community understand the legacy of each coin considered for revival.
